Q: This is my first time visiting a HWW.  What treatments do you suggest?

AFor massage, we suggest booking a 60 minute Relaxation massage.  It is the most popular massage offered.  Should you want specific work done, we suggest a 60 minute Combo or Deep Tissue massage.

Q: How far ahead should I book my appointment?
A: Peak hours are often late afternoons, evenings and weekends (especially Saturdays). We recommend you book as far in advance as possible in order to ensure getting the particular time, day, and service provider you want. We strongly recommend pre-booking your next appointment before you leave.

Q: Is there a place to store jewelry?
A: We strongly recommend leaving your jewelry at home. We regret that we cannot be responsible for loss or damage to any valuables. We are able to provide a secure locker, but be mindful not to leave your valuables behind if you choose to take them into your treatment.

Q: How do I communicate my preferences during my treatment?
A: We will do our best to modify aspects of your treatment to suit your preferences: amount of lighting, music decibel, room temperature, and whether or not you choose to have a conversation or enjoy the treatment in silence. If you prefer the therapist to use a deeper pressure or ease up on the pressure, let him or her know. Also, feel free to ask questions. Your therapist will appreciate knowing your thoughts and clarifying any issues you may have. If any part of your experience is unsatisfactory, first tell the therapist. If the response isn't helpful, ask to speak to a supervisor.

Q:Pregnancy or Medical conditions
A: When you arrive for you appointment, you will be given a medical intake form.  This form is used by our Therapists to better understand your needs as well as be aware of certain medical conditions. Some treatments may not be able to be performed due to medical conditions.  If you have questions, please call us at 336-656-8312 and the Spa Director will handle your questions with the utmost confidentiality.

Q:Clients undergoing Chemo or Radiation therapies

A:We request that the client bring a doctor's note that states the doctor is aware and agrees to the the desired treatment.  Also, we want to be sure to book our clients with the correct therapists. Not all of our therapists are trained in this area.

Q:Modesty issues
A:Therapists are well trained in the "art of draping" which means that they keep you covered and comfortable at all times except for the area of the body they are working on. Before the service begins, the therapist will leave the treatment room while you get under the sheet for  body treatment or massage. At the conclusion of the service, the therapist will leave the room for you to change and wait for you outside. You may dress down to your comfort level, completely undressing is not necessary.

Q:Sun and spa going
A:We recommend avoiding the sun on the day of treatment and, in some cases, the day after. And always wear sun protection!

[top]

Q:Eating and drinking
A:We suggest not eating for at least an hour before a treatment, and avoid the consumption of alcohol on the day of a treatment. Drink plenty of water before and afterward, especially after a massage, body treatments.

Q:Cell phones
A:HWW must be as quiet as possible to create a tranquil and relaxing environment for spa services. Therefore, we require cell phones to be turned off before entering .

Q:When to arrive and when to leave
A:As a HWW patron, you are welcome to stay at the Spa as long as you like. Have some tea, linger to your heart's desire... just make sure to allow enough time before and after your treatment to change clothes and enjoy any of our amenities.
If this is your first visit, please arrive 20 minutes prior to your treatment so that we can get you checked in and familiar with HWW. In order to remain on schedule for all our clients, we may shorten your treatment time if you are late for your appointment. The normal fee for treatment will remain the same.
